Welcome to Boso Pottery Studio! These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for participating in our pottery classes and workshops. By enrolling in our classes or workshops, you agree to abide by these terms. Please read them carefully before registering.
1. Booking and Payment:
- 1.1. To reserve a spot in a class or workshop, participants must complete the booking process and make full payment.
- 1.2. Payment can be made online through our website
- 1.3. Bookings are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
2. Cancellations and Refunds:
2.1. Cancellations made by participants:
2.1.1 Cancellations made at least 7 days prior to your class date:
- If you can find someone to take over your class, we’d be happy to welcome them in your place. Email us to let us know the name of the person replacing you.
- If you can’t find anyone, please let us know as soon as possible, we’ll do our best to help. If we can find another student to take your place, we will issue you a refund minus £20 admin fee.
- If we cannot find anyone to take your place.
2.1.2 Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to your class date:
- If you can find someone to take over your class, we’d be happy to welcome them in your place. Email us to let us know the name of the person replacing you.
- If you can’t find anyone, please let us know as soon as possible, we’ll do our best to help. If we can find another student to take your place, we will issue you a refund minus £20 admin fee.
- If we cannot find anyone to take your place, unfortunately your class fee will be non-refundable.
Rescheduling your class:
- If you are unable to attend your class and need to reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible.
- If your request is more than 7 days before the class, you can reschedule it to another available date. Rescheduling can be done once free of charge.
- If your request is less than 7 days before the class or rescheduling the second time, we’ll have to charge a fee 50% of the cost of your class.
2.2. Cancellations by Boso Studio:
2.2.1. In the event that Boso Studio cancels a class or workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.
3. Attendance and Participation:
- 3.1. Participants are expected to arrive on time for the scheduled class or workshop. Late arrivals may miss important instructions and demonstrations and it will not be possible to extend the class.
- 3.2 Participants must follow all safety instructions provided by the tutor and adhere to studio rules and regulations.
- 3.3. Boso Studio reserves the right to refuse service or entry to any participant who is disruptive, disrespectful or poses a safety risk to themselves or others.
Class outcomes and finished pots:
- 4.1. Participants acknowledge and accept that risk and unpredictability is an integral part of the pottery process.
- 4.2. The outcomes of pottery projects may vary due to factors such as individual skills and ability, clay composition, firing risks, and individual artistic expression.
- 4.2. Boso Studio cannot guarantee that all work made in classes will survive the firing.
Materials and Equipment:
- 5.1. Boso Studio will provide all necessary materials and equipment for the class or workshop, unless otherwise specified.
- 5.2. Participants are responsible for handling materials and equipment with care and must report any damages or issues to the instructor immediately.
- 5.3. Participants are not permitted to bring and use their own clay, glaze or other materials in the studio. Only materials provided by Boso Studio can be used during the classes.
6. Health and Safety, Liability and Release:
- 6.1. Participation in pottery classes and workshops involves inherent risks, including but not limited to the use of sharp tools, toxic materials, clay dust and exposure to heat. Participants acknowledge and accept these risks.
- 6.2. Boso Studio, its owners, instructors, and staff shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, or losses incurred during classes or workshops, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- 6.3. Participants are agreeing to abide by the Health & Safety guidelines as instructed by tutors. Failure to do so will result in termination of the students participation in the class without refund.
- 6.4. Participants are required to help keep the studio clean to prevent contamination and risk of breathing clay and glaze dusts.
- 6.5. The last 15 minutes of each class will be dedicated to gathering and washing tools, cleaning workstations and surrounding areas to prevent clay dust build up.
- 6.6. Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted in the Studio.
- 6.7. Children under 18 are not permitted in the Studio.
- 6.8. Pets are not permitted in the Studio.
- 6.9. Personal belongings are brought to the Studio at student’s own risk and Boso Studio does not accept liability for any loss or damage to such items.
7. Photography and Media:
7.1. Boso Studio may photograph or record classes and workshops for promotional purposes. By participating, participants consent to the use of their likeness in such materials unless otherwise specified in writing.
8. Privacy Policy:
- 8.1. Boso Studio respects the privacy of its customers and will not share personal information with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
- 8.2. By enrolling in our classes or workshops, participants agree to receive occasional emails or notifications regarding studio updates, promotions, or relevant events. Participants can opt-out of these communications at any time.
9. Modifications to Terms and Conditions:
9.1. Boso Studio reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
By registering for a class or workshop at Boso Studio, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
